The barriers of social change is includes-
- 1. Attitudes and values.
Every society or community people has their own attitudes and values. When these attitudes are apposed or contradictory to innovation. For example, the attitudes toward large family and preference to the male child has come in the way of the acceptance of family planning.
- 2. Vested interests.

- 3. Incompatibility with existing culture.
When the innovation are not match the existing culture then there in resistance. The innovations are arise conflicts with the existing culture. So, it is an important barrier.

Some innovations are quickly accepted because it very usefulness. Some social change can not be easily demonstrated. When demonstrability of innovations are difficult to people show resistance.
