Stages of counselling process.
There are two stages of counselling process.
#1. Stage of directive counselling.
The concept of directive counselling process which is related to the vocational guidance. It is make a interpersonal relationship. It is help for a individual who is need advice and information regarding their career choice. And it is not focuses on the personality development. There are six types of Directive counselling.
- Analysis.
It is the collection of information which is help to case study of history, interview, interaction with members of family.
- Synthesis.
After collection of data, the data is analysis the checking of qualifications, characteristics, habits etc.
- Diagnosis.
The diagnosis is a process where diagnose the data and identify the issues.
- Prognosis.
In this step the problem is study and try to solve the problem.
- Counselling.
The counseling is lead to success and motivation. And the counseling is bring the adjustment and readjustment.
- Follow up.
This is the last step of directive counselling process. It is important for solve the problem immediately.
#2. Stage of non directive counselling.
There are five types of non directive counselling process.
- Relationship building.
Counselling process is making relationship between counselor and learner. In this first step relationship building and then communication process is start. After making relationship the counselor is known the learner issues through the verbal or non verbal communication.
- Problem assessment.
In this step the counselor collect the information from the client and analysis the information. This step diagnose the issues and try to solve by the counselor.
- Goal setting.
The counselling process is helps to achieving of goals. The counselling is help to choose right goals.
Guidelines for goal selection.
- Goals should be related to desired ends.
- Goals should be bring success in life.
- It should be beneficial for clients.
- Intervention.
In this step the counselor check the client behavior. It is a behavioral approach counselling.
- Evaluation phase.
In this stage the counselor evaluate the learner knowledge by asking questions. It enables the learner activity and personality.
